How did you meet your future wife or Husband? We met at a barbecue at a friend’s house. According to Jeff, he tried to get my attention a few times, but I was talking to my friends and wasn’t really paying attention. Later on, I was standing near him and he offered me a beer, made a couple of jokes, and we ended up talking the rest of the party.
How did he/she propose? We were on vacation in the Dominican Republic, and I was hoping he’d propose while we were there, but had convinced myself he wasn’t going to. (Unbeknownst to me, he had called my father in California a few days before and asked for his permission to marry me!) On the second night of our trip, we went to dinner at a beautiful restaurant on the resort that overlooked a lagoon. After we had our appetizers, he left the table to go get the ring out of his pocket, and when he came back, he planned to get down on one knee and propose. Unfortunately, the waitress was at the table when he came back, and he got nervous and forgot everything he was going to say, so he sat down, reached across the table to grab my hand, and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! Later on, we were out on our balcony at the hotel, and he got down on one knee and said everything he had planned to. It was the best trip of our lives so far.
What was your initial impression of APM? We first saw APM’s photography at a bridal show. We loved that there was a good combination of candid shots and posed shots, and we were impressed with the types of wedding albums APM puts together. There was no comparison with any of the other photographers we looked at.
What made you choose APM? It was a combination of the amazing photography and our rapport with the owner, Dave Soucy. When we were ready to choose a wedding package, he sat down with us and really took the time to understand what we were looking for in a photographer. You could tell that he genuinely cared about making it the best experience we could possibly have, and that he loves what he does. That impressed us a lot. We also relied on the rave reviews APM has received in the past. It is important to us that we have a photographer we can depend on to deliver exactly what he says he will, and based on what we have heard and seen so far, Dave absolutely does.
Anything else you would like to share? Our engagement session with Dave was really fun. He made us feel totally comfortable, which will be exactly what we need on the biggest day of our lives. We can’t wait to have him photograph our wedding!
